Betta fish that doesn't flare.?

It could be your bettas personality. I have seen some extremely calm bettas before who if they realize that the threat cannot reach them, they shrug it off and dont waste energy flareing. And yes, flaring can be slightly good for bettas, but it should not be done obnoxiously often as it will only stress the fish.
