Who is responsible for gieco's ads and why are they so bad!?

Literally every campaign they have ever had from the caveman to the gecko to the googly eyed money to the unsolved mysteries look alike are so bad I want to instantly change what ever media I'm using whenever I hear/see them. Their ads are so bad that I actually would not buy the product even if it were the best deal by far just so I could avoid giving money to their ad agency. Seriously does anyone find them funny, or is everyone in agreement that they are stupid and inane? Who is responsible for these ads, why won't they stop, and what can I do to make them go away?
