Question... Advice?

So here is the thing, I am a freshman in high school and I fancy this other girl. The only problem with this situation id that she is only in the 7th grade meaning that she is very self conscious about what her “friends” think about her. I am afraid to talk to her because i believe she will freak out and then a whole epidemic in the middle school. Between that and the age difference... so i guess my question is should i just move on? or? Any advice you can give me we be taken into consideration.
